Born on the beautiful twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Jason Roseman is a second-generation steel pan tuner and “pan man”. He credits much of his success to his father, Joseph Roseman, who introduced and nurtured Jason's deep love and respect for the steel pan instrument.
Jason started performing on steel pans at age eight and has traveled extensively, sharing the indigenous art form of his beloved country with the rest of the world. He also has arranged music for Steel Band at Secondary and tertiary level in his native Trinidad and USA respectively.
As a performer, this RISCA Fellowship recipient has performed in the Caribbean, Mexico, Switzerland, England and many of the United States. Jason’s music varies from Jazz, Classical and his native Calypso music. Jason has performed with the AS220 Criss Cross Orchestra, the Changes in Latitudes, Jimmy Buffett Cover Band (The premiere Buffett cover band in the US), also with the Harmonites, Renegades and Ebony Steel Bands.
Living in the United States since 1997 Jason is the proud holder of an AFA in Jazz and a BA in Music; he continues to promote his steel pan art form every opportunity he gets..
